The Aliwal Shoal in South Africa offers some of the best shark diving in the world.

The reefs around the Aliwal Shoal are home to many species of shark including Tiger Sharks, Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Guitar Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, White-tip Reef Sharks, Whale Sharks and sometimes other species.

The Aliwal Shoal is also home to a huge variety of other marine life including Whales, Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Ribbontail Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish, many species of reef fish & much more.

Ponta do Oura, Mozambique

Ponta do Oura in Mozambique offers the best shark diving Mozambique has to offer.

Our main reason for diving Ponta do Oura is the Bull Sharks and Hammerhead Sharks found on the offshore reefs and they are generally seen on every dive.

Our dive packages to Ponta do Oura are fully guided by ScubaAddicts guides. After the diving at the Aliwal Shoal, we transfer north [6-hours] to the South African / Mozambique border where we change vehicles and use 4x4s to get to Ponta do Oura as there are no tar road once we have crossed into Mozambique. The trip to Ponta do Oura from the border takes about about 20 mins.

Ponta do Oura, Mozambique offers some of the best Hammerhead Shark & Bull Shark [known locally as Zambezi Sharks] diving in Southern Africa. We also dive with other sharks including Tiger Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Silvertip Sharks as well as the huge variety of game fish, rays, turtles and much more.

Ponta do Oura is the perfect shark diving combination destination when diving the Aliwal Shoal and between the two dive sites we can dive with as many as ten species [our best is 13-species] of shark during our 13-day 'Shark Diving Adventure' in South Africa & Mozambique.

Tofo Beach, Inhambane, Mozambique

Tofo Beach, Inhambane offers the best Whale Shark & Manta Ray diving Mozambique has to offer.

Situated 600km north of Maputo, Tofo Beach near Inhambane has been identified as one of the worlds top dive sites for Whale Sharks & Manta Rays. The area is also home to a Whale Shark & Manta Ray research centre which we can visit during your stay in Mozambique.

Tofo Beach, Inhambane, Mozambique has become one of the top dives sites in the world for divers wanting to dive with Whale Sharks & Manta Rays. Many dive sites on the reefs of Tofo Beach have cleaning stations that are visited by huge Manta Rays, some with wingspans of over 5-metres. The area is also home to a huge variety of other marine life including Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish, many species of reef fish & much more. Humpback Whales also visit the area between July and November during their annual migration.

Tofo Beach, Inhambane packages

Tofo Beach is the perfect diving combination destination with the Aliwal Shoal offering Shark, Whale Shark & Manta Ray diving. The packages are fully guided by ScubaAddicts guides. After the diving at the Aliwal Shoal, we transfer north into Mozambique via Swaziland. On the way to Tofo Beach, we pass through many Mozambique towns taking in some of the local culture & sites.

Port St Johns, South Africa - Sardine Run

The Sardine Run in South Africa takes place during June & July each year.

Each year we move our dive centre to Cremorne Estate in Port St. Johns, rated one of the best locations for the annual Sardine Run in South Africa.

Each morning we receive updates about the Sardine Run movements before deciding where to dive. We launch from the Umzimvubu River in Port St. Johns and operate north and south depending on where the sardine run action is.

Our days are ruled by nature, we spend most of the day at sea, following the action as the dolphin work together to separate the sardines into bait balls. The birds, dolphin, sharks, whales all enjoying a huge feast. The noise of the diving gannets, the speed of the dolphin, the sharks and the whales coming in to join in on the feast is amazing.

Join us and become part of this epic sardine migration, experience the noise of the diving gannets, the speed of the dolphin, the sharks, whales, game fish & more all enjoying the feast the BBC call 'the greatest shoal on earth'.

The Sardine Run is a must-do for every serious diver.

Dyer Island, Gansbaai, South Africa

Dyer Island near Cape Town in South Africa is known as the White Shark capital of the world.

The Great White Cage Diving is a good combination when diving the Aliwal Shoal and lets you get upclose and personal with many species of shark including Great White Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Dusky Sharks & more.

After the diving at the Aliwal Shoal, extend your stay and fly south to Cape Town before transferring to Gansbaai to experience Great White Cage Diving at Dyer Island and get up-close and personal with the oceans ultimate predator, the Great White Shark!

Each day you will have a number of opportunities to view the Great White Sharks from the boat as well as from the safe confines of the cage. During the day you will also have a chance to cruise past the island to get an up close view of the 50000+ seals that live on the islands.
